I have been doing some large commissions lately, like 3 pounds of dog hair! The above pictures are from Great Pyrenees. The top photo is the washed dog hair fluffed up and drying on a screen. The second photo is of the dog hair spun into a yarn. The last photo is of the 2 ply yarn, which means I took two strands of yarn and spun them together.

Teaching at Convergence

Convergence, The Handweavers Guild of America’s national conference, will be held this year at the Knoxville Convention Center n TN. On Sunday, July 17th, I will be teaching a day long class on “Spinning Short Fibers”.

Most of the class will be spent on learning how to spin cotton, but how to spin silk noil, camel and dog heir will      also be covered.
